Private sessions allow a customized approach to dog behavior to meet your specific set of needs. Whether you and your dog have challenges that need a customized approach or you simply prefer to train in your home or your community, scheduling private behavior consulting will get you on the right path.

What should my dog and I expect? 

• The initial session is an extended duration to allow for full history gathering and behavior assessment.  We'll set goals and expectations, then establish a safety and management plan for you and your dog.  In most cases, foundation behaviors will be introduced in that first meeting.  

• A full review of the behavior, recommendations, resources, and behavior modification plan (including the expected number of sessions) will be provided.

• Your consultant will coordinate with other pet professionals you are working with as needed. 

• During follow-up sessions, we will provide coaching and support to help you progress through the behavior modification plan.  Adjustments can be made based on what works best for you and changes in goals as needed.

Gigi’s Behavior Services offers vet-to-vet consults between the client’s family veterinarian and Dr. Herron, our board-certified Veterinary Behaviorist.  

How does it work? 

Our behavior consultant meets with the client to assess the dog’s behavior and gather a full behavior history.  If a dog may benefit from being evaluated for anti-anxiety medication, the behavior consultant will recommend a vet-to-vet consultation.
